The series consists of three-minute installments that are mostly comprised of energetic set-piece battles. The series follows the Jedi on their exploits fighting Dooku's separatistconfederation. Many characters in the series are also featured prominently in the films, such as Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Mace Windu, C-3PO, R2-D2 and Padmé Amidala, but others such as Kit Fisto and Aayla Secura are only seen briefly in the films.
The series won an Emmy award for "Outstanding Animated Program" in 2004.
