Team Star Wolf was set to make its first appearance in Star Fox 2, but the game was cancelled and some of its original ideas, including Star Wolf, were salvaged and put into Star Fox 64.

In Starfox 2 the battles would be one on one pilot battles in an open range arena between your character and one of the Star Wolf team. These battles would happen when trying to attack one of Andross' planet bases or a battleship. Wolf himself would only fight you before you have to go to Solar to defeat Andross.

Shortly after Andross's death, Star Wolf used an abandoned space station in the Sargasso Space Zone as a hideout. Pigma was kicked out of the team for his greed and Andrew left the team to prepare a rebellion. Some years later, the Star Fox team took over the hideout in name of Corneria and Star Wolf was forced to escape. When Corneria was invaded by Aparoids, Star Wolf helped Star Fox to destroy the invading Aparoids and to protect Corneria's Orbital Gate from the Aparoids.
