Stark Industries- the home base for Tony Stark's operations. This is the headquarters where Tony designes new inventions and works on Iron Man. Most commonly refered to as S.I., the company was passed down to Tony when his parents were killed in a car wreck. Many thought Tony would not be able to run S.I. by himself but he proved otherwise. Tony himself once stated "Im going to goof around in the lab", Tony obviously wasent seen as capable of running such a prestigious buisness. But when the time came to either watch the company fall into the hands of Roxxon Oil or be the youngest Stark to run it, Tony prevailed unleashing new technological Innovations daily. People begun to regain the trust of S.I.

Stark's skill proves superior over Stane's unskilled use of his own variant suit (known as the Iron Monger) and Stark regains his company when Stane commits suicide rather than be captured.
Stark's safeguards are corrupted accidentally when he uses the armor to download the mind of the android Jocasta to save her.
Stark leaves the wreckage of Avengers Mansion as it is, and goes on to build Stark Tower, a state-of-the-art office building.
When Stark was on the road to recovery, he helped Rhodes maintain the armor, but Rhodes became increasingly paranoid, believing that Stark meant to retake the armor.
To prevent Stark's armor technology from being misused, he used the abilities of his alien armor to erase all trace of Stark's designs from the Fujikawa systems, but the armor was destroyed in the process.
Stark allows a teenage James Rhodes (affectionately nicknamed "Rhodey"), a chance to wear some of the armour he and his father have innovated and this is where James Rhodes has his first experience as a superpowered War Machine.
