CJOnline.com | The Topeka Capital-Journal | Review: Stars on Ice shines bright at Landon Arena 01/26/03 (689 words)
Stars on Ice brought with it a top-notch sound system that delivered crystal-clear music to all parts of Landon Arena, and the show's lights, which included six ranks of lights suspended from the ceiling and five follow spotlights, more often than not became an integral element of the artistry on the ice.
When Todd Eldredge was at center ice skating to the syncopated beats of Buddy Rich's "Channel 1 Suite," five spotlights converged to create on the ice five shadowy reflections of the skater that moved as one.
Stars on Ice's only solo female skater was Katarina Witt, but the bulk of the show belonged to the pairs, including the Russians, Elena Berezhnaya and Anton Sikharulidze, and the Canadians, Jamie Salé and David Pelletier, who after a judging controversy were all awarded gold medals in Salt Lake City.
