Stephen Davis, born March 1, 1974, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, is a running back for the Carolina Panthers. In 1996 he was drafted by the Washington Redskins. He signed with the Panthers in 2003, gaining the number 48, and played a significant role in their success that year.


Davis was a three-year letterman (1993, 1994, 1995) and starter for Auburn University.
