Steve Hewitt (born 22 March 1971) was the drummer for the band Placebo between Mid-1996 and October 1st 2007. [1]. He was born in Northwich, Cheshire, and met band member Brian Molko through his then girlfriend. Although he appeared on some early demonstration tapes for Placebo, he wasn't able to join the band at first due to prior commitments to British band Breed. Placebo then earned their record deal with replacement drummer Robert Schultzberg.
