MCNIVEN: Oh how I wish I was skilled enough to alter my art style, but all I do is draw the way that feels the most natural to me. I'm really more interested in the technical aspects of good storytelling so I try to keep the 'style' issues out of the way of the story.
MCNIVEN: A long story short; I was new to Toronto with my wife and I bumped into a group of guys that were drawing comics and it looked like a good way to meet new friends in the big city.
Steve's extremely talented, and I encourage all of you to follow him and get in on the ground floor before he becomes a (well-deserved) superstar.

McNiven's work in both Civil War and Marvel Kinghts 4 (FF book), I've reached the conclusion that this guy can draw clothing better than any other comic artist I've ever seen.
I interviewed him once about designing costumes and he said that the best costumes look like clothing, not costumes, and you can see how that ethos is evidenced by his work.
Now that is not to say that I don't like McNiven at all, he falls into the alright category for me. But I definately don't see why so many people think he is the cats meow.
