Steve Truglia is a Stunt Co-ordinator, Stunt Performer and Action Unit Director in the UK. He has stunts credits on major motion pictures such as Saving Private Ryan, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, Entrapment and Kenneth Brannagh's As You Like It. He also has dozens of credits on a variety of major television shows and commercials. He is a registered Full member of the UK Equity Stunt Register as a Stunt Action Co-ordinator, and has been on the register since 1996. Steve is an official stunt judge for the British Advertising Awards and is a life member of the World Stunt Academy. Saving Private Ryan is a 1998 Academy-Award-winning film set in World War II, directed by Steven Spielberg and written by Robert Rodat. ... Steve was a member of 21 SAS for five years, he also passed the Parachute Regiment's 'P' Company, and then the Royal Marines Commando Course before going on to serve for 6 years with the SBS Reserves based at Poole, Dorset.


In 2004 Steve Truglia was awarded a Guinness World Record for the Fastest Abseil; over 100 m in a time of 8.9secs. This was performed for the Guinness World Record 50th Anniversary TV show from the 400 ft London landmark Centre Point. Steve also holds the British Record for No Limits Freediving (Breath hold diving - 76 metres). He has performed the longest full body fire burn in the UK by being ablaze for 2mins 5secs and plans to break the World Record of 2mins 6secs in the near future and is included in the 2007 edition of Ripley's Believe It Or Not. He is an extreme sports expert and has over 1000 parachute jumps to his credit. Steve is an experienced after dinner and motivational public speaker, and a television presenter with appearances on many TV shows in the UK. He is currently the resident stunt driver on Channel 5's Fifth Gear motoring show, having appeared in several episodes from 2004 through to 2007, with more being planned.
