Steven Johnson (born 2 September 1974) is an Australian V8 Supercar racing driver. He is the son of former racer and now team-owner Dick Johnson. He has competed full-time for Dick Johnson Racing since 2000. Best Season came in 2001, where he lead the championship for 2 rounds and took 2 wins, including that famous last-ever Canberra round win, where he made a pole to win in the 1st race, before finishing the rest of the races in the top 5, but near season's end, he dropped to 4th, still his best ever effort, then came a period he rather forget, the 2002-2003 seasons seeing well outside the top 10, 2004 broke the ice a bit with a 10th in 2004, He was looking for a top 5 this season, but had a bad bathurst to place him out side the 1o at the moment. He hops to have a strong finish to 2005 and a even better 2006. Steven stays with the team for 2006.
With the team not exactly flush of funds, and Johnson needing to source a new car, the public of Australia rallied behind the Queenslander, and they were repaid with both the Touring Car title and Bathurst glory in 1981.
Johnson would expand to a 2nd car for Gregg Hansford and would switch to the more nimble Sierra package.
Since then the team has come close to securing the title in both main and development series as well as in enduros, but a single Endurance win at the 2001 Queensland 500 after a red flag for rain and a number of round wins is all they have to show for it.
