Streatham Hill station is a suburban railway station in Streatham, in South London. It fronts directly on to the busy Streatham High Road at the junction with Leigham Court Road. Services are operated by Southern.
Streatham Hill Station was built by the West End and Crystal Palace Railway and opened in 1856. This subsequently became part of the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway The wooden booking hall at street level dates back to this time, but it is not a listed building.
There is a depot for maintenance of the passenger carriages at Streatham Hill. Some of the lighting gantries above sidings are remains of the pioneering "overhead electric" power supply which the LB&SCR introduced in the 1909. This was abandoned in 1929 (?) when the Southern Railway replaced it with third rail electrification.
