The closing of the street will be an acknowledgement that the organisers of the party accept responsibility for all claims arising from the use of the street for the purposes of the party.
The street must be effectively closed to vehicles at each end of the party area by the erection of conspicuous barriers although access for emergency vehicles must be maintained.
If there is another streetparty close by, the organisers must liaise with each other to ensure that the two sets of diversion signs are not confusing or contradictory.
