Subscriber: In a public switched telecommunications network such as the common telephone system, the ultimate user, i.e., customer, of a communications service.
Subscribers use end instruments, such as telephones, modems, facsimile machines, computers, and remote terminals, that are connected to a central office. Subscribers do not include communications systems operating personnel except for their personal terminals.
A subscriber is also a person who takes a magazine, newspaper or other periodical publication for regular delivery.
The Subscriber understands that a digital certificate serves to identify the Subscriber for the purposes of electronic commerce, and that the management of the private keys associated with such certificates is the responsibility of the Subscriber and/or its contractors.
Subscriber acknowledges the inherent possibility of the compromise of Subscriber's and/or another Subscriber's Private Key, which may or may not be detected, and the possible use of a stolen or compromised Private Key to forge Subscriber's or another Subscriber's Digital Signature.
Subscriber warrants (1) the information it provides will be complete and accurate, (2) Subscriber has authority to provide the information and is not violating any privacy or confidentiality rules, regulations, or agreements, and (3) that GeoTrust has permission to use this information in order to provide the Service.
