Susan George has been acting since the age of four, appearing on both television and film. Her most notable roles include those of the double rape victim Amy, alongside Dustin Hoffman, in Straw Dogs (1971), and Mary Coombs in Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry (1974). In the early 1970s George came to be associated with rather provocative, sometimes (as in Straw Dogs) controversial, roles and, to an extent, became type-cast. Susan George is a keen horse enthusiast. She breeds Arabian horses and has her own stud farm called Georgian Arabians.
