During the life of SvayambhuvaManu, six kinds of living entities were generated from the demigods known as the Tusitas, the sages headed by Marici, and the descendants of Yajna (king of demigods, Indra).
In this manvantara, or reign of Manu, among the demigods are the Adityas, Vasus, Rudras, Visvedevas, Maruts, Asvini-kumaras and Rbhus.
