Swamithoppe-Pathi is the head quarter of all the Pathis where Ayya Vaikundar spent most of his life.This is the sacred place where after his Vinchai,he was performing his six-year tapas before he started to reform the Religion and Society.The Muthirikkinaru he dug is near this Pathi where Anbukkodi Makkal take bath or spray it's holy water on their heads before entering the Pathi.

Daily Worship



Everyday at 3:00 am in the morning, the chief Panivedaiyalar and the Anbukkodi Makkal staying in the Pathi go to Muthirikkinaru and take a holy bath.They return to the Pathi to start the worship.They chant the Ugappadippu from Arul-Nool with the chief Panivedaiyalar and the sanctum sanctorum opens amidst the sounding of Pathi bells and chonch.Lord Vaikundar is offered Nithiya-pal which was the only food he ate when in human form.They carry Lord Vaikundar around the four car streets on Nithiya Vahanam.Prasadams are then distributed to the devotees.

Swamithoppe Pathi (Tamil: சுவாமிதோப்பு பதி), Swamithoppu-pathi, Manavaippathi, or Thalaimaippathi (Thalaimai (chief) + pathi) is the primary pathi of the Ayyavazhi, the head of all worship centers of Ayyavazhi, and the place where Ayya Vaikundar is said to have performed the Tavam.
Swamithoppe Pathi is the headquarters of the five pathis (Panchappathis) of Ayyavazhi, and its geographical focal point.
Swamithoppe Pathi, is located in the village of Swamithope, which lies southeast of the City of Nagercoil, the head quarters (capital) of the District of Kanyakumari in the State of Tamil Nadu at the extreme southern tip of India.
