Sweet Dreams Failed (often referred to as "SDF") is a Australian metal garage rock-band from Goodna, Ipswich. This band was formed in 2000 under the name "State of Confusion" and later on "About:Blank", they originally played Rock styled music for school events. The band has a distinct guitar solos with much accompaniment from keys and electric strings. Also, the frequent use of the chord 'E minor' is to be noted from many of their songs. This band is highly influenced by the metalcore bands Atreyu, Bullet for My Valentine and Escape the Fate as well as the style of singing from the bands Bright Eyes, Good Charlotte and My Chemical Romance. The band's first public performance earned them third place in the local "Battle of the Bands" competition. They are currently in the process of writing more progressive music with the influence of electronica and are preparing to perform at the Ekka in 2007.
