Swinburne University of Technology is a small university based over a number of campuses in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.

As well as degree programs, the university also operates as a technical college offering shorter certificate programs.

It operates research programs in several areas. Whilst lacking the broad coverage of the larger Melbourne universities, it is quite strong in specialised areas such as radio astronomy and "molecular simulation", an area of materials science.

The University has campuses in numerous parts of Melbourne including Croydon, Hawthorn, Prahran, Lilydale, Wantirna, and Healesville. There are also two international campuses, one in Sarawak, Malaysia and one in Laem Chabang, Thailand. The Swinburne website features a Virtual Tour (http://www.swin.edu.au/corporate/marketing/campus_tour/) of their campuses with photos and 3D maps.
