History
Swinburne Sarawak was established in August 2000, operating in partnership with the Sarawak Foundation and the Sarawak Higher Education Foundation. Originally an institute, it achieved university status in 2004[1]. On 11 December 2006, the roof of the building caught fire from a burnt out lift motor[2]. The campus is currently undergoing a construction process to expand the limited facilities.
