Swing Street was an album released in 1987 by bubble gum pop composer and nauseatingly whitebread singer Barry Manilow. Most of the tracks on the album featured Manilow in a duet with another singer. The tracks were recorded at various locations. The album only reached Gold, despite all the outside talent brought in to record it. This album marks Manilow's return to the Arista Records label from RCA Records where he had four releases from 1985 to 1986 including Manilow. The title of the album refers to 52nd street in Manhattan during the mid 1940's, the jazz mecca during the time, where modern jazz and bebop were born, and where we can be sure Barry Manilow would never have found employment.
