Although predicting the popularity of a new TVseries is a risky business, most analysts of this season's incoming programs generally agree that one show most likely to succeed is ABC's new detective series, Vega$.
Its main character, played by TV Showtime cover boy Robert Urich, is a ruggedly handsome, unflappable private eye whose battleground is gaudy Las Vegas.
Among Urich's close associates on the series are Tony Curtis, in a supporting role as a multi-millionaire hotel and casino owner, and Phyllis Davis, a divorcee who works the chorus line when not doing secretarial leg work for Urich.
