The Bulgarian A Professional Football Group ("А" Професионална футболна група) or A PFG ("А" ПФГ) is the top division of Bulgarian football. It determines the champion of Bulgaria. 16 teams take part in the division, each playing twice against every other, once home and once away. The following teams compete in the division in the 2005/2006 season[1]:

 The team of PFC Pirin Blagoevgrad (as distinct from Pirin 1922) disbanded shortly after the start of the season due to financial problems, reducing the number of teams for the 2005/06 season to 15. Due to this, only two teams instead of three will be relegated in 2005/2006 and one team rests every round.
