TIcycles is a case in point where Satyam helped to achieve significant cost savings and improve process efficiencies.
One of the recommendations it gave TICycles was to have another plant in each of the remaining three regions, North, East and West.
It had, for TI, an agenda for a vision which included: to be number two, ahead of Atlas in the market, to sell 27 lakh cycles in 2000-2001, to have a return on capital expenditure of 40 per cent, all by the end of the project.
TICycles of India, one of the country's largest bicycle manufacturer, today announced its foray into the fitness equipment market with the launch of BSA workouts range of cardio and strength equipment.
Announcing this to newspersons here, TICycles President G Ramprasad said the full range would be available in top 20 cities in the country by March 2007.
Mr Ramprasad said the size of the Home segment was around Rs 300 crore and was growing at the rate of about 30 per cent annually and the company was targetting to garner at least 20 per cent market share by ensuring a turnover of Rs 50 crore in the next three years.
