In July of 1957 the President of the Republic, Juscelino Kubitschek, approved the concession of TV for the Radio Globe and, in 30 of December of the same year, the National Advice of Telecommunications published decree granting canal 4 of Rio De Janeiro to the TV Ltda Globe. 26 of April of 1965, emitting music Moon River de Henry Mancini. The speaker Rubens Amaral presented the new sender to the viewers of the city of Rio De Janeiro and the State of the Guanabara. To 11:00 the Join program was shown, with Aunt Fernanda and to the noon, the livened up drawings Cat Félix and Hércules. In January of 1966, the River suffered one from its worse floods. More than 100 people had died and 20 a thousand had been homelesses. The TV Globe made the covering of the consequences of the flood and propagated information for the population, participating, for the first time of communitarian campaign, centering the collection of donations in one of its studios, at the time the transmission system was black and white.

Our white public is of approximately 5,5 million people, including Brazilian and Portuguese who live outside of its respective countries.
TVGlobo, in particular, began to attract major writers and actors from both film and theater to also work in telenovelas.
TVGlobo was accused during this period of representing the view of the government, of being its mouthpiece.
TVGlobo and other networks also began to export programs, particularly telenovelas, and Brazilian exports of programming to the rest of the world soon became economically and culturally significant.
