TV Patrol World is the national network news broadcast of ABS-CBN in the Philippines. Since its inception in 1987 (as TV Patrol), it has been the most-watched Filipino primetime newscast. The newscast pioneered the tabloid-style format of Philippine newscasts, with fast-paced delivery of news reports, accompanied with flashy graphics and music. TV Patrol (1987-2004)

When it debuted, it was known simply as TV Patrol. Philippine Vice President Noli de Castro was one of the principal anchors of TV Patrol in its debut, along with Francisco "Kiko" Evangelista, Mel Tiangco, and Angelique Lazo. Also, Ernie Baron was later added to anchor the weather news segment. Eventually, de Castro became the sole anchor. When de Castro ran for the Philippine Senate, he was replaced by Korina Sanchez. Sanchez was soon joined by Henry Omaga-Diaz and Aljo Bendijo. After several changes in the anchor chair, the newscast was anchored by Sanchez and Julius Babao until September 2004, before being reformatted to TV Patrol World. At present, the newscasts' anchors are Karen Davila, Ted Failon, Julius Babao and Phoemela Barranda. It is broadcast nationwide by the network at 6:30 PM GMT +8, from Monday to Friday .
