TV8 timeshared for some years with the Scandinavian History Channel in the evening and Bloomberg Television in the night and daytime; TV8 themselves did only broadcast for a few hours in the late evening. Bloomberg was swapped for the Fox News Channel for the War in Iraq in 2003. Fox News continued after this, but Bloomberg returned to broadcast on some key slots during the day in December 2003. In November 2004, MTG launched their own historical channel Viasat History in the Nordic region. This meant that the History Channel was shut down and replaced by TV8's own programmes. The Fox News broadcasts were discontinued in September 2006. They where replaced by English language programming from Deutsche Welle and reruns of TV8 programming.
