Taiichi Ohno (大野 耐一, February 29, 1912 - May 28, 1990) is considered to be the father of the Toyota Production System, also known as Just In Time or JIT. He has written several books about the system, the most popular of which is Toyota Production System: Beyond Large-Scale Production.
