Takarazuka (宝塚市; -shi) is a city located in Hyogo, Japan.


As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 218,213 and the density of 2,143.55 persons per kmē. The total area is 101.80 kmē.


The city was founded on April 1, 1954.


This city is the home of the popular Takarazuka Revue.

Takarazuka can be seen as the female equivalent of the Kabuki, the traditional all-male Japanese theatre in which female roles are played by men, and many Takarazuka fans are also fans of Kabuki.
