Tartan Films, established in 1982, is a United Kingdom-based film distributor. It also owns the United States-based Tartan U.S.A. and Tartan Video. They are known for distributing Asian films, especially those in the horror and thriller genre, under their banner Tartan Asia Extreme and also, more recently, they have gained a reputation for releasing horror movies of other origin under their new brand, Tartan Terror.
