Tchibanga is accessible by a twelve hour bush taxi ride from Libreville or by plane; however, air service is very irregular, and the airport is usually closed.
There are taxis that can take you to a hotel in Tchibanga for the night, to leave early next day for Mayumba (CFA 2,000), or a bush taxi that can pick you up at the airport and take you directly to Mayumba with advanced notice.
