Team Betta Electrical originated before the 2004 season. Triple Eight won no less than 12 British Touring Car Championships before 2004, and decided to expand its company. They built a custom-built facility at Bowen Hills (a suburb of Brisbane), and employed 35 people to make a V8 Supercar.
