Team Superman is the name of DC Comics' informal team of heroes who all wear the "S" shield of Superman. This team was officially called "Team Superman" in Team Superman: Secret Files and Origins # 1, May 1998. This team assembles whenever Superman himself is in trouble, if a situation calls for more power than Superman has (like fighting Darkseid), or if Superman is gone and needs someone to fill in for him. The team has had different members over the years, but the members are always super-powered, and very close to Superman. There was a single comic Team Superman #1 published in July 1999 in which Superman himself was abducted by an alien "hero killer."   • Superboy - Conner Kent (Kon-El), cloned from the world's greatest hero, Superman, and the world's greatest villain, Lex Luthor. He was taken in by Jonathan and Martha Kent, posing as Clark Kent's "cousin." He possessed many of Superman's powers, plus tactile telekinesis. Conner sacrificed his life during Infinite Crisis, when the world's three greatest heroes, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman, couldn't work together.
  • Cir-El - Mia, Superman's "daughter", a Kyptonian/human hybrid who could fire "red sunbursts". She sacfrificed herself to save Superman, erasing her existence from the timestream in the process. She recently resurfaced in Superman/Batman to team up with various incarnations of Supergirl.
  • Steel IV - Natasha Irons, brilliant inventor whose armor gives her superhuman powers.
  • Strange Visitor - Sharon Vance, Superman's childhood friend from Smallville, who gained electrical powers and had to wear his old containment suit. She died giving Superman all of her energy.
  • Linda Danvers - Former Supergirl, who retired after enduring several personal tragedies.
  • Matrix - Former Supergirl who had been merged with Linda Danvers, before being seperated and re-merged with Twilight.
Team Superman joins forces with the Batman Family.
