"Tears of the Prophets" is a sixth season episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine first broadcast on June 17, 1998. In this episode it is decided that Captain Sisko will be responsible for planning the first steps in the assault on the dominion forces in the Alpha quadrant. Sisko is warned by the Prophets not to go, but does--allowing Gul Dukat, inhabitted by the Pah Wraiths, to make the orb onboard the station useless. Unfortunately, Jadzia Dax shows up in that place at that time and Dukat kills her. The initial assault on the Dominion takes place in the Chin'toka system and is successful.
