  • The Mel Temne language, one of the four official languages of Sierra Leone, Africa. It is spoken by the large Temne tribe of Sierra Leone.

  • 'Temné' is the Hungarian word for dark: e.g.: it is the name for a popular dark beer; and Temné vody (Dark Water) is the name of a Hungarian horror movie released in 2005.
