Princess Teresa Cristina of Bourbon-Two Sicilies (1822-1870) was the tenth child of king Francis II of the Two Sicilies (1777-1839) and his second wife, Princess Isabel of Bourbon, daughter of king Charles IV of Spain. On September 4, 1843, she married Emperor Pedro II of Brazil, and therefore became Empress Teresa Cristina of Brazil. They had four children:

 Prince Alfonso de Braganza e Bourbon (1845-1847), Prince Imperial of Brazil. Princess Isabel de Braganza e Bourbon, Princess Imperial of Brazil, who married Prince Gaston of Orleans, Comte d'Eu. Princess Leopoldina de Braganza e Bourbon (1847-1871), who married Prince Ludwig August of Kohary of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. Prince Pedro de Braganza e Bourbon(1848-1850), Prince Imperial of Brazil. 

After the overthrowing of the monarchie in 1889, the imperial family whent into exile in Portugal, were the Empress died on the same year. In 1939, her and her husband's remains were reburried in Petropolis, their former summer palace in Brazil.
