The Territoire de Belfort is a département in the Franche-Comté région of eastern France.


Created in 1922, it comprises that part of the former province of Alsace which was retained by France between 1871-1919. It has an area of 609 square kilometers and a population of 137,000. Its departmental code is 90, and its administrative seat is Belfort.
