The A'z are a Bay Area music group that have developed a unique music style of their own, mixing rap, hip hop, rock, and other sounds and tracks. All members of the group have the government issued name "alex", and thus took on the name "The A'z" because of their first initial. AZ first came to prominence by appearing on Nas' landmark albumIllmatic on the song "Life's A Bitch" (1994) - he was the only guest rapper to appear on the critically acclaimed album.
AZ's fanbase grew considerably after he joined The Firm, a supergroup consisting of AZ, Nas, Foxy Brown and Nature with Dr.
AZ also addresses his political views of the US, as well as his thoughts on who is the greatest emcee of all time.
