The AccuWeather Channel is a 24-hour weather-oriented broadcast/cable television network owned and operated by AccuWeather which is headquartered in State College, Pennsylvania. The service is broadcast on digital subchannels of certain broadcast television affiliates in the United States and is available on cable and digital cable systems. The AccuWeather Channel is very simular to NBC Weather Plus, which is its main competitor. Its current programming lineup is simular to NBC Weather Plus, with national and regional forecasts. In addition, there are travel, sports, and lifestyle segments. The channel will use all of the resources at AccuWeather when severe weather events occur. The local stations add their own local weather updates and some even include local news updates. Along with being offered on digital subchannel, cable, and digital cable, some local stations offer the channel via live streaming video on their websites.
