The Alan Higgs Centre, opened in September 2004, is a leisure centre situated in about 80 acres grounds near to the River Sowe, on Allard Way in the southeast of Coventry, England.[1][2] It was designed by RHWL architects,[3] and built by Galiford Try plc at a cost of about 8 million pounds to their client and the current owner, the Alan Higgs Trust.[4] The River Sowe is a River in Warwickshire and West Midlands, England. ... The Coventry City Football Club's Academy is based at The Alan Higgs Centre.[1] There are four outdoor grass football pitches, a synthetic indoor pitch, and a synthetic floodlit outdoor pitch.[1] It is also a venue for county netball games,[1] and there is a skateboard area.[2] Coventry City Football Club, otherwise known as the Sky Blues due to the traditional colour of their strip (which itself is sky blue in honour of the sky blue cloth traditionally made in the city). ...
