The movie tells the story of a boy who is shipwrecked on a desert island with a wild Arabian stallion. They become close friends, and later, the two are rescued. Later, the boy meets a retired jockey and horse trainer, and the boy decides he wants to enter his horse in races. The stallion is so magnificent and powerful that it is able to compete against the two finest racehorses in the nation. A climactic race ensues, and the boy and his stallion win the race.


During the end credits of the film, scenes are shown of the horse and the boy, playing on the island together as the theme music plays.
