The Blackstone Group is a private investment and advisory firm founded in 1985 by Peter G. Peterson and Stephen A. Schwarzman. Consists of seven divisions: the Private Equity Group, the Real Estate Group, the Corporate Debt Group, Marketable Alternative Investments, Relative Value Fixed Income Investments, Corporate Advisory Services, and Restructuring & Reoraganization Advisory.


The company is based in New York City with offices in Atlanta, Boston, London, and Hamburg, Germany.
