Buteyko Breathing Method is a programme developed by Russian Respiratory professor Konstantin Buteyko to recondition patients' breathing volume to normal levels.
After hundreds of hours spent observing and recording breathing patterns, he was able to predict with accuracy, often to the minute, the time of death of each patient.
In 1990 the Buteyko Breathing Method was brought outside Russia to Australia by Sasha Stalmatski.
