In 2004, The Cheetah Girls became a real group, instead of an on-screen group and recorded a song for Disneymania 3. After the release of the Disneymania single, they began to record their debut album in early 2005. Without a record label, Walt Disney Records decided to release the album on their label. Disneymania 3 is the third installment in the popular CD series released by Walt Disney Records, where popular musicians from today put their spin on Disney classics. ... After the single's flop, the concert tour was almost cancelled, but the tour had begun and was making money for Disney. In an interview with Billboard about the album, Sabrina Bryan stated that the girls worked on writing for the album on their Party's Just Begun tour and that they hope to gather an audience of older fans while simultaneously staying true to their younger fan base. Plans for a Cheetah Girls clothing line were first confirmed in early 2004 by member Adrienne Bailon in an interview with MTV. However there was never any mention about this until August 2006. In a commercial for a So Hot Summer Cheetah Girls 2 Party the narrator was quoted as saying "Also, check out stores now for Cheetah-Licious clothing and accessories." In another article on MTV News website in February of 2004, it said The Cheetah Girls show had been delayed, due to the success of That's So Raven.
