Released: February 21, 2006 | The Cookbook is the sixth studio album by American rapper-songwriter Missy Elliott, released by The Goldmind Inc. and Atlantic Records on July 5, 2005 (see 2005 in music in the United States. The album includes the hit lead single "Lose Control" (which samples "Clear" by Cybotron) featuring Ciara and Fatman Scoop. The second single lifted off of the album, "Teary Eyed", never saw much success, hold a few appearances on TRL, peaking at number forty-seven on the U.S. R&B chart. The third single, "We Run This," was released in 2006 while its video was filmed in mid-December of 2005. The album's intro contains a "recipe" for the perfect album.
