The Enemy of the World is a serial in the British science fiction television series Doctor Who, which originally aired in six weekly parts from December 23, 1967 to January 27, 1968.
Bruce affirms he is a servant of the world government, not Salamander, and shows he can be persuaded by the case that the Leader is, in Astrid’s words, a traitor, flmailer and murderer.
He confronts Salamander, who agrees to take him to the surface to show him the world is now full of hideous, depraved mutants and their actions in causing natural disasters are helping to wipe them out.
Chapter V: Three Enemy Offensives (8004 words)
Enemy documents captured later indicated that the enemy had reached approximately the same conclusion and was so concerned about the outcome of his operations that he had decided to begin a general offensive to decide quickly the fate of South Vietnam.
When the enemy forced free world forces to move rapidly from one battle area to another, it was the armored forces that covered the ground quickly and in many cases averted disaster.
Rapid movement was imperative in the early stages of the enemy attack, and the armored units were the first ground forces to reach the battlefield in almost every major engagement, although the winning of the battles eventually involved all forces.
