The video for "The Future Freaks Me Out" is a take on the movie Rushmore[citation needed]. It is set as a school play. There are many scenes depicted in it. They include: the old west, an office, the ocean, a funeral, and a concert. It was the first music video the band had ever made. Guitarist Joshua Cain's family helped out in the making of it, and stars in it as well. Rushmore is a 1998 movie directed by Wes Anderson about an eccentric teenager named Max Fischer (Jason Schwartzman) and his friendship with rich industrialist Herman Blume (Bill Murray) and their mutual love for elementary school teacher Rosemary Cross (Olivia Williams). ...
