The Hughleys is an American sitcom that aired on ABC from September 22, 1998 to May 22, 2000 and on UPN from September 4, 2000 to May 20, 2002. Many believed that the show was moved from ABC to UPN, because ABC felt The Hughleys was too racial for their television network. ABC tried to cancel the show because they felt it was too offensive. UPN then picked up the show. Some critics and viewers felt that the show was modeled after The WB sitcom, The Parent 'Hood. Darryl Lynn D.L.
