The Inquisitorial Squad (OoTP28) was set up by Professor Umbridge after she replaced Dumbledore as Hogwart's Headteacher.
The squad were given responsibilities to weed out and punish any pupils who were hostile to Umbridge, and were given the power to take house points from other students.
The squad was distinguishable by a small silver "I" badge that could be found upon their robes.
