Episode recap After being told by Janice that she knows of his Russian girlfriend on the side, Tony attempts to break it off with Irina for reasons of shame and embarrassment. Irina feels that she loves Tony and does not want him to leave. As Tony leaves, she threatens to kill herself if he will not continue to see her. Tony later receives a call from Irina's cousin Svetlana informing him that Irina attempted to kill herself by taking 20 sleeping pills and a quart of vodka. Tony visits her in the hospital and tells her that she needs help. Tony then discusses Irina with Dr. Melfi and asks if she can find her a suitable therapist. Melfi refuses since she does not want to get deeply involved with Tony's other life. Carmela becomes angered when Tony tells her about the Irina situation and yells "you're putting me in a position where I am feeling sorry for a whore who fucks you!". At Richie and Janice's engagement party which Tony reluctantly holds, Richie professes his love for Janice and is grateful that he is entering a great family. Carmela is moved by this and escapes to the kitchen where she cries uncontrolably. The following day, Carmela visits Vic Musto at a paint store where she thanks him for not showing up to their intended luncheon since she would have done things she would have regretted. Pussy begins not to regret his government job as an FBI informant. Instead, Pussy begins to embrace his oppourtunity by wearing a wire at Richie and Janice's engagement party and begins to give useful information about stolen airline tickets and Tony's business with Davey Scatino. When Pussy learns that Christopher is going to make a deal with another associate regarding stolen Pokemon cards, he jumps on the chance but winds up in a car accident after failing to follow Christopher. Skip Lipari thanks him for his efforts however because he fled the crime scene he is not to do anything dangerous again and to focus mainly on Tony. Richie continues to have problems with Tony as he refuses to have his children near him due to the situation with Beansie Gaeta and belives he is a bad influence. Richie reminds Uncle Junior that now would be the time to off Tony if he was still willing to. Uncle Junior refuses since Tony is useful and thinks of the failed attempt the year prior. Richie then tries to gain the support of Ally Boy Barese who is the acting capo of the indicted Larry Boy Barese's crew. Ally refuses to support Richie since he does not get involved with Richie's problem. Richie sees no way out and decides to take it out on Janice. When Janice talks about Richie's son and tells Richie she does not care if "Little Ricky" is gay, he punches her in the mouth and tells her to shut up. Janice then begins to cry and Richie sarcastically asks "what are you gonna cry now?" Janice then pulls out a gun from the cupboard and points it at him. Janice then proceeds to put two gunshots in his abdomen. Richie clings to life and then dies on the floor. Janice then calls Tony to take care of the body which he does so by enlisting Christopher and Furio's help. Christopher and Furio then dispose of Richie's remains at Satriale's where they place his body parts in a meat grinder. Tony then gives Janice a bus ticket to Seattle and they part ways.
