At their hotel in Atlantic City, Chandler is only interested in a high-speed car chase on TV, while Monica (a clean-freak) insists on changing hotel rooms several times because of unclean glasses or a smelly carpet. Instead of "a whole lotta naked," the two just fight all weekend and return home angry at each other. When Ross finally tells Rachel, she is so furious that he agreed to Emily's demand that she storms out of her own apartment. At Central Perk, Rachel tells everyone (minus Ross) that she is afraid of being Kip, Chandler's old roommate who was phased out of the group after he broke up with Monica and moved out of Chandler's apartment. Ross voluntarily becomes Kip, saying that he should step back from the group because he is the one making things change. Central Perk logo. ...

Chandler assumes that his relationship with Monica is over: "We had a fight." "Chandler, that's crazy! If you give up every time you'd have a fight with someone, you'd never be with anyone longer than—Ohhh!" They agree to make up and keep trying ("Welcome to an adult relationship!"). However, they are nearly exposed when Joey - after hearing Monica saying that she saw Donald Trump getting on an elevator and asking to borrow Rachel's eyelash curler, as Monica has lost hers - puts two and two together and realizes (for the first time, he realises about anything before anybody else) that Monica and Chandler were together over the weekend. Chandler manages to get him into Monica's bedroom before he can blab, and the two of them make Joey promise to keep the relationship a secret.
