The Ozzman Cometh is an album by Ozzy Osbourne released in 1997. It is his first Greatest Hits collection and it contains five previously unreleased songs. four of those five being basement tapes from Black Sabbath from 1970. 2002 and later copies of this only have one disc and the song Shot in the Dark is replaced by Miracle Man. Note on versions post-2002: The tracks taken from Blizzard Of Ozz - Ozzmosis are from the 2002 remasters. All other tracks are from the origional. The remasters of the first two albums have re-recorded drum and bass due to royalty fees. The tracks from Bark At Moon, while remaining origional, have some mix changes that is questional. Most fans choose to have the origional versions of the first three albums. The interview found on this disc is from 1988 where Ozzy is interviewed about his latest album at the time (No Rest For The Wicked) and some other topics about his new guitatist, Zakk Wylde and his past days on Black Sabbath. The tracks Black Sabbath, War Pigs, Fairies Wear Boots, and Behind The Wall Of Sleep are taken from a live recording from the John Peel Sunday Show. It is from 4.26.70 in London. NOT the earlier show done with Earth, and there are NO Earth Demos in circulation. The tracks Fairies Wear Boots and War Pigs are done off their non-released (at the time) album Paranoid and might appear to have different lyrics. |
